Saturday, July 31, 2004 Today was Speech Day.... so sian.... went to sch at 1.30pm... then warmups, changing of suit and perform... then they say some of us dint smile..... then Joshua CHeam and Federick pumped us for making noise and stuffs..... blah blah.... then the NAC prac...... then even during that prac we muz smile..... those who nv smile got pumped.... funnny right? On wed it was the choral festival which I left sch during eng period(hehe) to go to the VCH. Left my costume at home that day... so went home to take then went there... and we seem to be the earliest. Oh yeah, the rest of the victorians are forced to go to the national stadium for the track finals in whcih it rained and wet their bags... haha. Anyway, those performing on that day was M1, M2, Boys' sec and Girls' JC. Oh yah, got a girl from forgot-whcih-sch gave a stalk of yellow flower to theodore, haha, then theodore was like so embarrassed. Then we had our rehearsals.... then dinner... some kinda food which was better than Rhapsody VII's... then we had some warmups in the Terrace before the performance started.... haha, Miss Tan asked whether Jotham had perfect pitch.... cuz of the Gershwin Medley.... then at the end I think I gave her the pitch.. guessed I was a little off..... and she kept correcting us. Oh yeah, I think VS is the only sch there wearing a lousy vest while other boys' sch r wearing blazers. argh.... The performance wasnt too bad lah, just that I almost had no breath to do the 'Deep River'. Ms Tan showed us some words written/pasted on coloured paper. The first one was 'Blessed are the smile-makers' and the 2nd 'Make beautiful music', turned over was 'Ok.' Wesley told me on the other day that I was like crying.... :S. Hmm.... one more thing, Marcus from Cat High took a pic with some girl from SCGS that looked like him and everyone was cheering. Hahaha.... reached home at 10 sth.... fell sick... got flu.... actually before the day started also got flu liao... a bit headache also.... Okay, thursday. Got flu and headache also.... got choir prac... speech day rehearsal... actually cant go, then Prem sorta forced me to go. Cant watch thursday's concert..... no ticket I think... reached home at 6 sth and needed to take a nap until 9... then slept at 12 and woke up at 5 to continue doing my hwk... forgot to bring my sci wb mah, had to copy the whole of chap 15. Today..... also got flu and headache. Okay nvm, it was not too bad, cuz I can skip sch... but that's not the gd part, in fact, it's the worst part. But anyway, I woke up at around 6.45am.. then had lotsa time to spare lah. Took a taxi there.. whoa... I not rich lah... Miss E shall pay for me.... haha. Anyway, there were 15 victorians there, including me, and Federick and I were the only 2 victorians not wearing the vschoir badge.. he because he's wearing PE shirt. I thought was like non-sch uniform then dun need to wear.. okay... whatever. Then had this masterclass with this swedish called Mr Sherbert... And he has a funny accent plus he laughs at his own jokes... ahem. Taught us the swedish song from 8.30 to 11am... quite fast, but not very familiar with the song. Then we had a break until 2.30 for M3... We went to some shopping centre to have our lunch.. some food court, then we played hide and seek.... quite lame lah....... We went back at around 1.45pm or so... Then Fadhil had to go for rehearsal.... cuz he's in M1... then Ling Chung and I were like loitering around at the top level, which is the 'circle' area. Haha, outside the 'circle', Ling Chung despo sia... go stare at some SCGS girls downstairs... and I was like sian.... so I sneaked into the 'circle' and watched the practice for M1..... then soon it was our turn..... M3.... not very good... the warmups.... lucky there wasnt the 'come everybody come sing with me' thingie... haha, then the songs were like... what happened? Actually is like that one lah, our choir is not very good only, because of 1) Miss Mary Tan and 2) the song 'deep river'. Then we must wait until like 5pm for the whole thing, and it was like so confusing. Anyway, there is this sec 2 Catholic High guy called Marcus, who looks like one of the SCGS girl in our group also... Then we were all like teasing him, asking him to get her name or whatsoever... Actually we are supposed to be dismissed at 6pm, but then we got dismissed half an hr later. Ah well..... Haha, they got all the good players... Then choir practice we performed for the visitors from China Bao Ding dunno what 'Sailing' and 'When you believe'. The sailing song was realli very bad loh... the sop go sharp at the beginning, then everyone muz follow.. then they went flat.... then we all followed.... wah liao.... then the 'when you believe' thingie is only those who went to perform for the perm sect perform for them. Not bad lah... then we tell them what we do for warmups... Johnnie and theodore's chinese very 'good'.. haha... well yah.. then afternoon I was chosen for the friendly soccer match against at-first-band but then now NPCC.... won 6-4 or something..... I was the sub goalkeeper... Oh yah, choir practice... for NAC awards thingie lah. Got back certificate for New South Wales Science competition, got distinction, only Sean never get back, haha, he got back today, he got high distinction, then must go on stage.... haha.... I got 38/45, he got 40... lol, I knew that 40 is a min to get high dis. Anyway, today we had history, then actually is got 2 groups going to present on Islam and Buddhism.... then Nasir's group did Buddhism lah, cuz the teacher dun let, all malays.... their presentation very very 'nice'... Got one slide everyone go 'WAHH!!!!'... cuz the WHOLE PAGE is filled with words, yeah, I counted... 27 lines of words, around 15 words per line, then got continued page, 20 lines..... same font lah.... cuz they tell about how Buddha came about, crap loh...... they writing essay or what...... plaguarized essay.... haha..... then the Q&A thing, Abdul like make the whole class laugh with his lame answers....... so many people sabo him..... okay, today during choir, we had speech day rehearsal. After that, the choral excellence people stay back to learn a song in some kinda language.... then Edmund was translating for us while we copy down the pronounciation..... then Johnnie was like making fun..... then we all tried singing.... wah kao, 4 high Gs leh.... the highest note for tenors..... anyhow take advantage of us....... then we were like forcing our voices loh... haha, anyway, Sean so pro again, got chosen to be in the friendly soccer match against concert band this saturday.... he is going to be advantage midfielder. Then wah kao there wasn't any goalkeeper except Johnnie so they choose me to be the substitute goalkeeper, I think Johnnie is fit enough... haha, so i dun go also can lah... hahaha..... Skipping History tomorrow.... actually Im dismissed at 11am for choral excellence, but I think I better stay for 15 min of lit or else Mrs Quintal will be damn pissed. OPH stands for Oh Peng Ho, some guy in our class.. haha......... yesterday during choir, Johnnie like said got TWELVE people from Hong Kong will be listening to us sang..... in the end, around 60 came, cuz its thew whole choir, pri sch lah..... we all performed 'sailing' and 'cant help falling in love'... and they performed for us also lah..... as guessed, there wasnt any tenor/bass, all sop and alto. We all perform finish then go home..... sian........ then today, also got choir, it rained in the morning, so the field is so damn muddy. I went to mcdonalds after the prac lah... then I gave the cash to the cashier... and she took around half a min counting what I gave her.... I remembered giving her 1 $5 note, 4 $1 coins, and so on... $12 sth total... calculated only 5 cents change... lol. Anyway... THE FRIES GOT NO SALT!!!!!! I didn't eat there... I only have a bit of french fries on the bus and it was so plain... >.<!
