Tuesday, August 31, 2004 Be Yourself Day! I wore a simple blue shirt+3/4 khaki shorts to sch....... and since its 'be myself', I wanted to switch on my handphone... but then l8r scared kena confiscated. President Nathan was there to watch the teachers day performance... the performance started at around 8.30... and he reached there at 10... so when we all rose for him, we were so glad since our legs were aching. Anyway, some ppl asked where he is (when everyone rose, everyone was blocking everyone's view)... some ppl point to the photo on top which showed the president's photo (and the first lady that one)... Haha... anyway, President Nathan was the one to give away the prizes for the best dressed... then Liew Xun from 1I wore the pirate thing, with a hook on his hands... then he couldn't receive the present... had to use left hand... haha..... After that thing, Marc, Sean, Arthur and I went to TPS... Some sec 2 ppl from vs also went and i dint know they were from tps also. Dint realli said 'happy teachers' day' to any teachers...... juz met some old schoolmates... okay, HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY TO TEACHERS WHO HAVE HELPED ME A LOT (esp miss neo and mrs chong)... dint manage to give out presents I bought... maybe nx yr tchers day lah... quite a no. of us went to the community centre to play soccer... haha.... then later javier came... then slowly more ppl left... then left isaac, woon yang, samson, kee wei, anand (shankar), daryl, jerome, arthur and wei yi... tts all i think... and me.... we went to the field behind the sch and watch some teachers and student playing soccer... then samson they all wanted to play... only kee wei, woon yang and I didnt play..... oh yah... fung qi, gwyneth and joanna were also there.... haha.... then I too sian liao tt time.... go prank call them using jerome's phone.... sorry arh girls..... then jerome came running after me with the thing u use to spray on ur hair to get some colours....... then spray on my bag like free like that..... kk... sorri jerome, dun cry. Yeah... then Woon Yang came to my house.......... he juz left lah........ yeah...... he actually dint realli do anything in my hse..... only play....... yawn... so slpy. Let's start with History. Mrs Ng STILL couldn't download the macromedia flash player. Okay, so what I am going to do, and what I just did, was to provide her a direct link for her, if really cannot work, then no choice, have to do on powerpoint. Oh yah... Benjamin and i-forgot-who had a diskette which was really lousy (or maybe it's Mrs Ng's laptop which is lousy) and in the middle of the presentation, some dunno what pop-up will show about the disk not formatted... then Mrs Ng had to press ctrl+alt+del. In the end, the whole presentation showed after a few times of opening/closing. The today in history thingie.... I thought I dint bring... a deduction of 2 marks for each day if u nv hand in... up to 3 days, which u will get zero... in the end I found it and saved myself from 2 marks deduction. PE. Had games in the parade square... some play floorball, some play soccer.... I played floorball lah... and won 7-6 or sth lyk that... juz that we won by 1 point. At first, I was the goalie and Sai Loong keep scoring... haha.... then I changed with Rayson... then my position was up-and-down... keep running up and down.... then scored a few goals by dribbling the whole court... haha... Sai Loong is a good player, scored most of the goals, hit the ball twice to the bush and couldn't get it out (and I was the one who got the ball both times out =D) and tripped me once with the stick. Lol..... Jason said my dribbling damn spastic... Lol AND MR LEE FINALLY CAME TODAY!!! AND THERE IS SCIENCE LESSON TODAY!!! AND HE GAVE US BACK OUR CA2 PAPERS FINALLY!!! Finally... and I got a miserable 80%... the 7 marks lost (out of 35) really proved that I am quite bottom compared to the rest. He sorta spent the whole lesson going through the Science paper, and his humourous came back.... haha. Mrs Quintal................................. Literature................. all nonsense.... haix....... she is the same every day.... wah lao. When is Mrs Poon coming back? Chinese. Did a compo.... and oh yeah.... my teacher still haven't collected the jian bao... supposed to be collected on wed... 2 days liao... haha. I have 'left the best for the last' (~by Mr Maran). And guess what? I got Silver for the Singapore Maths Olympiad... For the junior's section... I am ranked 3rd... with 14 marks out of 35... yah... nobody passed... which the 2nd and 1st are both sec 2s and got 15 and 16 marks respectively... only the 16 marks scorer got the Gold. Got 3 people got 13... those who got 13 to 15 got the Silver... so 5 silvers. And oh yeah... for the jr's section still, our sch is ranked 15/96, in which the ranks come from the total score of the top 3 scorers (thank you thank you *bows*)... Wow, for once I am so hao lian... haha..... okay...... this is already a long post liao. Oh yah..... left out sth Choir Practice. Mr Kwei today made us do squatting, tip-toeing and lying down+bending our backs during warmups.... so weird. Like that got more support. Got back taxi money from Miss E... actually got one is I took cab myself from home... then she thought cannot... then she threw away my receipt... then she ask me how much she had to pay me... because my 2 receipts were like the most expensive... and the taxi fare was $14.20 or sth lyk that... I juz said $14 and she was like 'biang!' One thing I hate about choir prac is announcement, which may drag up to 1 hr. Btw... actually is when the section stayed in the rm for sectionals, the section move out chairs, but today there wasnt sectionals... so Johnnie asked one volunteer from upper sec and 1 from lower sec to scissors-paper-stone... then Johnnie and Theodore will think of either upper or lower sec... then the winner will choose which guy... for eg, if Johnnie chose upper sec, and the winner chose johnnie, upper secs had to move chairs. In the end, Terry (sec 3) won and then chose Theodore... which lower sec :S. Btw, last time when Mr Lee (Boon Kee) teach us about a game called handball... we were like wondering what kinda lame game was that. I dint realise it was one of the games played in the Olympics... haha.... okay... quite a long post already. Chinese I got 62/70 and plus last time's reading of the jing1 tian2 yi1 book... out of 30 that one I scored 17.... so that makes 79/100. Yesterday the teacher who came in during sci lesson told us that we need 80+/90+ to score 6 points in the o level. So... haix... chinese still need to improve.... Maths paper was easy... got full marks... in our class only peng ho and I got full, other classes got a lot. That paper was out of 30... and it is actually converted to 100% for the CA. Junzhe actually won me in chinese by 1 mark.... but his paper which is /70, he got 61... one less than me... and I won Kang Ming who used to be top for chi.... hehe...... won him by 1 mark also. Had maths makeup... because miss lim teach us during our normal lesson today and mr loke have to teach us in the afternoon. Went for dental appointment at 4.30pm..... In the end... today... almost nth from the tx bk came out... most of them general knowledge. 10 multiple choice questions and 3 source-based questions. Maths is just not so bad lah......... Got one question almost got wrong... simple interest... I go do compound interest. Then maths lesson... almost wanted to fall asleep with Mr Lok's lessons.... then QUINTAL!!!!! Because the first 2 periods is lit and then the 1 period nx is eng enrichment, skipping 1 period of eng enrichment, 2 periods of sci and maths lessons respectively. THERE IS SCI AND MATHS TEST TODAY!! Ah well.... Went to NUS... then it was like a maze..... the hall backstage and stuffs. And the songs were damn ____ed up loh... At first the 'sailing', actually we should sing when theodore beats at the 4th beat, some people sing at the 3rd beat liao, thenn it was like so messy.... then ah wellll..... it was juz to sucky lah.... and theodore exits the stage in the wrong direction, wah lao sia.... then we got pumped by Johhnie 20, Joshua (Cheam) 30. Oh yah, Roger was doing the not-exactly somersault thing, which means he went upside down and over by swinging his legs to the side like that, yeah, that in the dressing room, and his leg hit one of the locks of the locker, and yes, its made of metal... his somewhere-around-the-kneee part had a damn deep cut, not much blood.. Hmmm.... it was actually like this, almost everyone left for the tea reception, and Roger, Sean, Ling Chung, Miss Lau and I were in the room, then ROger was doing that thing, then he fell and 'ahhhhh'. First was DnT where the teacher taught us how to use the machine for cutting plastic..... the pressing of the dunno-what then bend the dunno-what. Farhan was the first one to try not under teacher's supervision, and he smack the whole thing out and let go of the dunno-what. Like some destruction... haha. Art.... someone said need to bring brush to paint the clay.... I nv come last wk.... and I dunno..... then nobody told me... but actually dun need.... My clay model plus drawing sucks lah, so I think I can only get a max of C5.... Today during english was very 'nice'.
