Friday, October 29, 2004 Last day of school! Today morning.. had morning assembly in the hall. Some academic awards prize presentation... haix... so sad.. 4 teachers are retiring. Mr Tay (they were about to let him take a speech.. then he never did.. lol), Mrs De Souza, Mrs Lee and Mrs Poon. The prefect began Mrs Poon's retirement speech with 'After spending 400 years in VS, Mrs Poon has finally retired.' Something like that. So sad :'( Cleaning up of classroom. So slacky... oops is there such a word? Everyone was slacking... all play games actually.. then somehow Mrs Marliza and Miss Tan came to our classroom at 11.30 and was satisfied.. lol. They gave back report books. For special stream... expected, Kenny got first. Maintained his first position. 2nd was Teck Boon... jump from 5th to 2nd. Third Shimon. Special stream only got 13 people. Then express stream Junzhe got 1st... expected also. Cuz we were saying his name b4 Miss Marliza announced the position. We shouted 'JUNZHE' until become 'ginger'. Lol. 2nd Rajesh. So sad... i dropped by 1 position to third. Actually I expect to get 20++th position... really. Cuz like many people got higher than me. Junzhe got an average mark of 76.1... then I got 69.7... wow... Big jump. Cuz the maths thing last time got $15... then Arvind and Daryl go buy some stupid diskette pocket and 1 pencil for each person :S. Got back NAPFA cert (got bronze) and a NAPFA badge. School ended at 12... so quickly went home.. then played com... whahahahaha... slept then woke up at 5.05pm. Quickly bathed then eat dinner... cuz need to reach TJC at 6.30 for some choir concert. Reached TJC at around 6.15 though. Then Johnnie assembled us. Seth very smart... go wear VSChoir T-shirt =\. Got the ticket then went in the auditorium. Very cold inside. The schedule was 6 songs then 3 skits. All the 6 songs are christian songs... After the 6 songs then got one of the choir members go thank us for coming all those... then she say she know got some schools ordered mass tickets.. then she ask where is VICTORIA SCH. Then nobody answered... lol... then she ask where is TJ then many people cheer. Almost 3/4 of the auditorium all filled with TJC students... then she ask where is Victoria School again... then I think Johnnie cheered... then we all cheered as well.. haha.... then she ask where is Victoria School again... then only Chin Boon cheered... haha... so malu, everyone look at him... lol. Then got this guest singer... Charles Wong... he's the Temasek Idol. Lol... when he went on stage then got a grp of Temasekians go sing him birthday song in English, then Chinese, then Malay, then all the words become "Blah"... lol... then he sang 2 songs... the 2nd one he accidentally sing suddenly v high... then he said 'Oh Shi---'... lol.. then all cheered for him... Then got 3 skits. The first skit was about this guy who met this girl. On the bus... then the guy 'drooled' on the girl... lol... then they went on a date in the zoo? Then at the end the guy can't contact the girl... the ending not very complete... but very funny. The second skit was first on this group and they sang the titanic song very fast... then one of the main singer sing 'on and on, on and on' then the others squat and stand, squat and stand.... then quickly change to the scene about Jack and Rose standing at the front of the ship and the Rose enjoying the wind... although both girls... Lesbian... haha... then the same thing... sang v fast all those then the 2nd one was on the last part where Jack said 'You must survive'... lol... then the 3rd one was on the captain who was seeing the ice berg in front of him.... then all drowned... then they sang the powerpuff girls song, then they say its the powerpuff girls versus the char siew pao boys... all girls group anyway. Then they said they fight with each other to save the people who drowned from titanic. They all scissors paper stone then punch... lol. Then in the end the char siew pao boys gave the powerpuff girls char siew pao... lol. This one is the funniest. 3rd skit was on this couple who was separated because the male had to go for NS... the female very fat... then showed what happened in NS... one nerd and the lady instructor... lol... then after 3 weeks then the guys came back... then the girlfriend was waiting... then the other 3 friends of the guy all cough saying 'girlfriend'... haha... ended this way... not very funny though. Was having a fever at around 5am... then didn't go to school. By afternoon I sorta recovered already. 27th. Okay... I went to school. Monday and Tuesday all slack day for the classes... cuz the teachers had to go for o level practical invigilation. So that day we slack as usual... haha... got back all the marks plus the art paper from sean... The paper got mistake... Sean never check properly... one of the elements of art I write wrongly then I got all 7 marks... haha Boh too many papers to mark then nv see. Got back some other papers plus the DnT pencil holder thing plus the art claywork... sucks lah I threw away the clay... lol 28th. That's today right? Oh yeah. Okay.. kinda late for school. then got some temperature check... say wad actual day. Then some people never bring... then had to squat in front below the stage. Someone teach me how to switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius and back again... my thermometer this morning (as well as yesterday and monday) changed to F. Then dunno what I do then become C. Got this sec 3 guy who nv bring thermometer having leg cramp after squatting. Then some sec 2 project work thing... very sian one.... got one grp their ending was "Thank you for 'listening'." haha... then got PE... then cuz raining then we get to choose to play either badminton or table tennis... I played badminton loh... I played my recess time... so well... then went class to slack again. Had choir prac. Went Siglap South CC because our choir room will be used for o level exams for the whole of November. Saw 3 kittens at the SSCC there... all black in colour.. then they are so tiny.. like the size of the palm like that (okay, MY palm.) Haha... Kept perspiring... cant sleep... sat nite and sun nite I had diarrhoea... I went to sch... then the temperature check I got 37.8 degrees... Ms Marliza told me to take again 1 hr l8r. After morning assembly was some stupid survey... then Mr Lee Boon Kee very extra... we MUST do the survey... eh... survey is you choose to do or not... but we are so kind to do for u... still like so extra lyk tt... after that survey thing is some CCA validation... then I took my temp again... 38 degrees. Then Pock Thong juz had to tell Mr Siow that I got fever... so Mr Siow told me to go general office. Had to stay in the sick bay until my mum comes... I was like wondering around while waiting... nobody in the sick bay except me.. Clean up then choir prac.. Did the Salve Regina for the whole choir prac. Sing until sian already.. Paid for the choir ticket for some TJC concert... then dismissed liao.. I went to eat. Then felt thirsty so reached for my bottle in my bag... then couldn't find it.. so I went back to the choir room... haha. Maths after recess... b4 recess was free period... Maths I got 90... not too bad lah... get A1 happy liao... Junjie got 96, Peng Ho and Teck Boon got 95, then dunno who got 94, 93, 92, 91... lol... ai ya I heck... I made a lot of careless mistakes.. haha... As expected... some kinda maths stuffs held in the hall for the WHOLE day... Got some outsiders to facilitate the 'day'... then got 3 stations... each station 1 hour... 3 classes are to be in 1 station each time... then we get to choose our own grps of 4 (or 3) to work with. Junzhe, Shimon, Sean and I formed a group... cuz we were seated in one column straight... so juz choose loh... The first category was this got a lot of tables and 1 or 2 items on each table... then must complete the activity then get a chop from one of the facilitators onto the answer sheet... got like muz fit something into some objects, taking out of stuffs, so on... got like 30+ different activities with 2 or 3 points for each... after getting 10 stars can advance to the 'advanced' level... all these completed in 1 hour. Our group got 10 stars in 50 min.... then the advanced level are 4 mark.... supposed to have abt 8 different activities but then only got 5... then got this question where u have to move the red car out with a 'prize', which means we will get a prize immediately. The 4-mark ones we completed 3 of them... One of the facilitators said that those schools that tried these b4 (like RI) only managed the max of 14... whoa... we were close... lol The 2nd category was on logic... where we have 20 questions. We got 2 question booklets and 1 answer sheet... so we did together in pairs... the first 10 questions was some 3x3 squares with 9 colours... then they give us clues like which colour is where and which colour is not where, or which is either here or here.. then the last 10 qns were on problem sums... 9 answers given and 1 colour given at the end of each question, so muz match the colours to the answer and write on the ans booklet... We managed to complete all... which i was being hurried by the last one which they said '5, 4, 3, 2, 1, stop!'.. haha I took more than 1 min to complete... dint have time to confirm... lol... I think Sean and I (we were a pair) worked out like 11 sums... lol... helped Junzhe and Shimon. We worked out even number problems, which Junzhe and Shimon odd numbers... then got this qn 14 (or izzit 12?) on some instruments like barometer and dunno-what-meter... so I told Junzhe that I will do qn 15 instead... which was on binary =).. Haha... then managed to work out qn 20 myself... some 'maths genius 3'.. haha. Got recess b4 the 3rd cat.. then had to see Miss Lim for this New South Wales Maths competition prize presentation... which is held on 10th Nov at sg conference hall at 5pm.. Alvin (Pang) and I going for our class loh... I guess it would be CHAOTIC... cuz 2 from our class liao... still got other sec schs and pri schs... kao Okay that took up my recess... ate a bun quickly then went up for the 3rd activity. Some questions.... again.... 10 qns loh... quite simple lah... except for a few... then got this mastermind qn which they show on the screen... then people keep blocking that machine... cuz they wanted a closer view... then somemore the colours not clear... like orange look like red, pink look like purple... I think we never got that qn correct. Then got this bonus question where a ball is placed at the bottom of the hill and supposed to rotate the board to move it up the hill... that one dun need pen/pencil of cuz... use hands and brain... got either 1 pt, 2pts, 3, 4, 7.5 or 10... 10 is when the ball goes up the hill... Sean did an amazing job of 7.5... almost could have gotten 10... dunno why the hole at the middle, he passed already then went back... maybe he too nervous... can see the board shaking.. Then got this question which ask us the special word given to people in the 80s... dunno what lah, so we put eighties... haha... Then the main facilitator gave us the answer to some of the questions for category 1 and 3... well... our grp did the categories in order of their number... lol... then the 'eighties' was actually sth (forgot what word liao) which SHIMON HAS LEARNT BEFORE!!!!!! =\ Its okay, Shimon. Prize presentation... they say each group will only win 1 prize... then got 1st all the way to 7th prizes for each cat.. they started with cat 3... and 7th prize.. 'led by See Junzhe, Sean, Shimon and Sheung Man'. Wow... led by 4 people eh? Haha... 7th prize is this tower of hanoi which was one of the puzzles in the advanced level of cat 1... which I solved and got a star... haha... but that stupid uth prize thing is some plactic pieces and this 3-yr-old kid printed on the cover... some guy joked that if I cannot solve I lose to the 3-yr-old kid... 2nd category... 4th prize... our group... he got terrific memory eh... can rmb we went up... lol... eh come on 4th prize is definitely better than the 7th prize loh... 1st prize diff from 2nd which is diff from 3rd which is diff from 4th which is diff from 5th which is diff from 6th which is different from 7th... lol... so they had to get the 8th position to receive the 4th prize... WHAT THE...?!?!?!?! We couldn't get an exchange loh... cat 1... OUR SCHOOL IS THE FIRST SCH TO GET MORE THAN 15 STARS!!! WOOHOO... congrats to forgot-which-team... they started from giving the first prize... then '3rd prize - Shimon.. have they gona up on stage before?' WAH LAO... WE GOT 7TH PRIZE ONLY WHEN WE WON 3RD, 4TH AND 7TH PRIZE!!!!!!! Our team is the only team winning all 3 cat loh.... got a few teams win 2 cat... unfair.... and where is our prize for solving the red car thing???????????????? They say we can get a prize immediately..... Oh yeah... Alvin's group (Hoe+Pang and Jarrett) for 1st prize for forgot-what... then since they got 3 members only, then Alvin (Hoe) get to receive 2 prizes... lol Later Junzhe, Sean and I went to complain to the main facilitator... then he ask us which prize we got... then we say 7th then he sorta laugh lah... then he apologised... and said he would start from 1st place onwards... but then no use... have to go 1st prize for all 3 cat, then 2nd prize for all 3 cat and so on... lol... the whole sec 1 got a small puzzle from the facilitator... free of charge, but the teacher have to pay... lol... I got this puzzle to separate which I solved in the bus while going home... oh yeah... got this survey which went round while the facilitator was discussing the answers b4 the prize presentation... then got this qn on how they shd improve... haiya... shd put abt the prize presentation... haha..... I am in B2... the main team... arvind go change to team 2 as main team instead of 1... the qualifying round have to versus every team in our grp... The first match was against A2... Farhan says he wanna be keeper... so I substitute out for a while... the score was 0-0. The 2nd match to the 4th match Farhan go and strike and I be keeper... 2nd match was against 1E... they first scored a goal against me... the defense let go... like the first min like that, and also I dint have warmup mah... I touch a but but still went into the goal... then soon after our team took a corner... then one of their defender kick up to his face... then natural reaction will use the hand to stop... then Fang He say so loud 'hand ball, penalty'... lol... then he scored the penalty... so the score was 1-1... and yeah, it ended like that.. Fang He said I can pump the ball... but then the referee say only can throw... lucky nv give them a free kick... so when the ball out it was a 'goal throw' as well... same as when I catch it... I was like standing behind his goal post and cheering for my team, and shrieking... haha... then when half time switch place, I followed as well... lol... our team played all 7 defense... as farhan said forgot-who is in... ai ya I bad memory cannot rmb his name... lol... then our team players keep shooting anyhow in front... then got once almost when the game gonna end, someone kick then went out... so I 'volunteered' to take the ball... but I went there then ran over it... I dint touch the ball nor block anyone... the keeper has to take the ball... lol... I juz ran back and forth... lol... then the G class was like blaming me... what did I do wrong? haha... Haha... The game ended 1-0... We got into finals... believe? So surprised loh... But anyway.... juz to say abt the 3rd/4th placing first... the 4th placing got no prize... only 1st, 2nd and 3rd. G# beat D1... haha... Munir thought his team would at least win a bronze. He dint expect to win the 4th position... haha H2 vs B2.. finals. Cuz I found a soccer ball...
