Saturday, February 26, 2005 Oh yeah... an add on to yesterday's post... Johnnie said those who gets kicked out got attitude problem... or rather, most of them. I think is a few of them got AP... while some ppl who got AP are in the competition group... I shan't mention names.. Also, I am supposed to hand in the chinese compo today... den I asked Ms Ding for extension... den she say ok.. lol. Kk... today I was late for choir... 5 min late cuz I missed the earlier bus and had to wait for 15 min =\. Then got pumped 15. Den PT I went to play badminton... so long never play liao. Managed to get back my skills.. lol. Den after PT was choir prac... sectionals first... only competition group have practice btw.. Went for warmups with Basses then went to 4D classroom. Kena pumping position cuz everyone was late.. Then the WHOLE 1 and a half hr do Sunset... actually 1 hr and 15 min excluding warmups... Didn't really finish... got to the end... Joshua Cheam spent 30 min correcting our "vina tambura" part =\. Den went back.. combines... Sunset first... lol... Sunset not bad lah... only Salve Regina a bit sucky... Keep straining the high notes... around 4/5 way to the end of the song, my neck muscle hurt liao.. cuz strain too much... =\. Stopped in the middle of drilling cuz we are all tired already... Then Johnnie talk to us about some stuffs and also about the Victorians' Family Day performance... Then sec 4s dun need to go so the helpers have to choose ppl to go... 5 per section... Tenor already got 4 helper so just need 1 more person... damn difficult lor... So we chose Fadhil and Tamim... den we flipped coin... flipped twice den both also Tamim... den Johnnie was like... harh? Then he wrote Tamim's name, then cancelled it and wrote Timothy's... say he accidentally wrote Dao En's name.. lol. Timothy in KIV also never mind one... Like some Victorians' Family Day Idol? Lol.. Then the 3 songs we had to learn are "Longest Time" and 2 other Rhapsody 6 songs... meaning those 2 songs are those that I dunno. A bit slack lor... some chinese test then some reading thing... Chinese test got lotsa words dunno sia. Actually knew the word but didn't know it was that word. Never mind. Maths... some exercise 5d. lol. Can't rmb much liao. = Recess den science. Oh some ppl (who are not prefects) went for prefects' investiture. Purposely one, cuz can skip Science. Lol. Anyway, Ms Leow was teaching some transportation in humans. Err.. wdv. English. Got to know my English marks. They changed the compre marks a lil... den I got 15 out of 30 for compre and 15 out of 30 for compo. So 50% lor.. C6. Suck sia.. Oh yeah... left my penguin suit at home.. so had to go back home and take... In the morning I left it at the doorstep but forgot to bring it out =\. Then came back to school at around 1.35.. lol.. then must change and get ready by 1.45.. so just nice lor.. Haha.. den Mr Kwei came... some warmups den photo taking den auditions.. The photo taking very what lor.. Me + some other ppl had to help to move the tables... den damn hot lor... den 2 guys were like holding the flash light... den Mr Ong was like testing... den the flash light didn't flash then Mr Ong asked the 2 guys to step back and back and back.. lol... den they turn it the other way round den ok liao.. =\. For our part it's the melodic part (ad-te-sus-pi-ra-mus-ge-men-tes-et-flen-tes). I dunno how Mr Kwei can tell in just 15 seconds of singing... perhaps less... some SYF auditions.. lol.. Den went out for some sectionals (actually a talk) by Evan and Joshua Cheam.. say they are very disappointed... den ask who is 100% sure that he will get into SYF.. den no one sure... =\.. the most only 70% sure (includes me). Dunno lah... scared can't enter.. damn nervous lor.. Den went back to the choir rm... den got those who pass, those who JUST passed (something called the KIV.. no idea wad it stands for) and those who fail. For tenor section got 10 ppl pass (Me, Ling Chung, Tamim, Leon, Jia Xian, Reuben, Joshua Cheong, Terry, Evan and Joshua Cheam). Can't really rmb lah... KIV is Timothy, Fadhil and Edmund. Then Sean Tay (sec 3) joined Tenor, den he will go for auditions 2 weeks later. So Evan went to teach him outside the class... den Joshua Cheam and the rest of us (only those competition ppl need to go for sectionals, the others can go home). Got do lotsa stuffs lah.. never sing I guess... can't rmb... Then Joshua Cheam say "what else to do?" then Leon say "pumping"... den he got pumped 20 =\ -.-! K den went back to the music rm.. Den nothing much lah... Johnnie say will have morning practice starting next week, from 6.30 to 7.25... so must wake up at 5.15... which is like 45 min earlier than usual.. lol.. Then showed us this program on chapter 7.. Then got this part must fill in the blanks on the computer, then she go and ask some guy to fill in. In the end, no one knows how to change the language to chinese, cuz it's full screen and when you switch back window the language changes. Then Ms Ding dunno press what then can already :S. Then Maths... teaching (a+b)(c+d) that kind loh... which is like distributive law which we have learnt in sec 1. Sian... After recess was Science... I thought was English.. Then we went to this project room 2 where Ms Leow showed us some video on diffusion and osmosis. Then she taught us chapter 5.. some transportation in plants and animals (she went through plants only, and halfway she got kicked out.. no lah... we were forced to leave that classroom because there's another class gonna use [4D I think]) English. Checking of English files... Spent like the whole 2 periods checking. Mr Tan showed us what contents must be inside, then gave us a contents page, then must sign.. Then told us about the Total Defence Day postcard... :S. Then choir.. Mr Kwei went through with us the songs.. then say we can get very high marks if we split the songs into part 1, 2, 3, etc.. But if we link them up together then cannot.. Oh yah.. he told us about a trip to HK in July where we will have to sing... quite prestigious cuz got the managers of some big choir organizations... Leow didn't explain the FTP though... in fact, she explained the practical book... the corrections for starch test, protein test and fats test... wdv their name... Then left 20 min :S... den gave us this short test... 15 fill-in-the-blank qns and open book.. tried not to open book and got 10/15. Should get lower but I overheard some answers :P. Sia lah she give like some things we haven't learn before... like soem villi and microvilli? Sian.. Recess... ate something den went back class.. Then WY sms me (he also following us also) say he's still waiting for the 13 bus and will be late (planning to meet at 12.40).. Then went to oppo. TSS bus stop then Samson wasn't there, so called him again... den he picked up -.-! Then I ask him to hurry since I am already at the bus stop.. also remind him to bring oranges... Guess what he did? He took 2 oranges from the praying thing outside his house -.-! Walao bad sia.. Anyway Samson ran here but must wait for WY also... heh... Then LC arrived at 6.07, and I thought I was late :P. Just realised that LC and Reuben are from the same pri sch and they were friends since p1 =\. Anyway, LC said he wanna go Raffles Place cuz he knows where to go to VCH from there (vividly)... den I know how to go from City Hall (vividly as well)... haha... so went City Hall and realised that the time was 6.35 and we were to be there by 7 =\. Then err.. Reuben never bring his water bottle so he wanted to buy something to drink.. Then went into the shopping mall.. I forgot what it's called but it was the place where we played hide-n-seek last time during the choral excellence thing :P. Then err... we went round and round and round... first was this guide about the shops in the building.. then some place like some junction like that... Sian... den almost couldn't find the way out... LC no sense of direction (no offence :D).. lucky I got better sense of direction... den went VCH... saw Joshua Cheam so marked attendance den sat a while outside den went in... Yinghao kicked then Karthik couldn't catch, then I just tip it in.. haha Then err.. went back and had 10 min left to change/rest.. den choir prac... warmups then sectionals... helpers have to take sectionals cuz the sec 4s (which includes ALL the SL) had to stay in the rm to learn the CNY song... den we did Sunset.. that whole half an hour din't do much... kinda rushed that whole song.. Oh yah... it's a 'tradition' that whichever section stay in the music rm need to take out chairs after prac and put in chairs b4 prac... den today we tenors had to move the chairs into the store room but didnt stay in the rm cuz of the CNY thing... then the basses last Thu didnt move the chairs at the end, so they had to move the chairs today :P Anyway, after that Mr Kwei came... den did the 3 songs... then err... Nicholas (ex-chairman), Edmund's brother (Edward? dunno his name) and Jeremy (ex-assistant secretary? no idea) came.. they only sit at the back lah... then we had to sing the 3 songs again after Mr Kwei left, just for Ms E.. haha... Anyway, after school I had to go and meet Mr Ang, the Principal... for dunno what... cuz during Maths lesson Mr Oh came to my class and ask who's the class treasurer -.-! Then she say there will only be one distraction - a tape recorder... Walao that's really very distracting loh... Nothing much happened during chinese lah... den Recess den Homec... no practical work so didnt get injured :P. Went to IT lab... do some activities... and err, I signed in using web msg again :P. Haha... the activities are like revision like that... kinda bored. Lunch then self study... had 2 periods of self study before Mr Tan went through the comprehension with us. Didn't finish though... Music! Test lah.. the music test was 50 marks anyway... then Mr Ihkwan said there are 2 categories, one group which must score 50/50 in order to pass (49/50 = fail) and the other grp need 33/50 to pass (32/50 = fail). Then if got more than 8 ppl fail in our class den we can't go to the lab next week to make music using the com, have to stay for theory and theory and theory... anyway, the first grp is for concert band and choir members only.. haha... he's trying to say that CO suck though :P. Anyway, the test quite easy lah... I scored 50/50 anyway (yay!)... Sean scored 48/50 cuz he put the treble clef as F-clef and bass clef as G-clef.. then Junzhe scored 49/50 cuz he got this bass clef note wrong =\. Anyway, more than 8 ppl failed... I dunno what will happen loh. We got dismissed late anyway... Dismissed 20 min late for CME... KCK was waiting.. Anyway, Rajesh was reading this passage on Raju (haha...) then Andrew was talking... so KCK damn angry say Andrew must read 10 times while the whole class must copy the passage 10 times... very what loh... I copy 2 sentence den he say never mind, just let Andrew read once can already... he got over with it damn fast loh... then somemore waste paper -.-! Then Science lab.. We had to stay OUTSIDE the sci lab while Ms Leow gave us some stupid Edusave form... $50 for some enrichment thing.. then we had to stay outside and read the activites we have to do (4 activities).. Anyway it's quite cool... Junzhe, Rajesh, Shimon and I in the group actually, then Jason came in... so Rajesh is to do activity 1, me activity 2, Shimon activity 3, Junzhe activity 4 and Jason do wash up... hahaha... quite idiotic anyway, cuz we are to give Ms Leow a test tube with something in it to heat up... den 8 groups put in their test tubes (Sean's grp didnt put in) then some grp took Prashant's grp's test-tube.. not Sean's grp though... we Ms Leow was angry so she asked everyone to go outside of the sci lab -.-! Anyway we got nothing sorted out so she asked us to go back in... srupid sia... then dismissed at 5.15 instead of 5pm... GRRR.. Hmmm... nothing else to blog already..
