Kinda late to blog now. Maybe going to make this post quite short. Just finished my revision for the day.
New teacher for English - Mrs Low, former TJC and RI teacher who is better than Mrs Theresa Goh (got her first name from Rayson =P). At least she teaches, and the last 2 lessons we had was spent on formal letter writing. Not the format but the contents, like this redevelopment fund for VS. She talks a lot. Haha. This old hag resembles a bit like Ms Neo, but more active and likes to wear sleeveless! Oh yeah today she wore this dress that has a cut showing off her legs!
Ms Leow took over for Science. Very very productive lessons because the 3rd module teacher (i.e: Ms Yeo) is supposed to teach us SPA* and Ms Leow just went through 'briefly' with us. She taught us what's dependent and independent variables and stuffs like that and asked us to plot this graph. Then I had a query as to whether lines should be drawn using a flexible curve or not, and then there was this debate (I won't call it discussion) between mainly Peng Ho and Ms Leow. Heard that he went to see Ms Lim (Maths teacher) after school and he was proven wrong. Can tell that he felt very humiliated.
Well the 2nd lesson (yesterday) was on the SPA again, then after that this short "mock exam" like what Ms Leow called. I would prefer to call it a 'worksheet' or maybe 'notes' because there was this question like this:
[cell wall of a root hair cell drawn] Label the cell wall (duh, there's only the cell wall). Do not use arrowheads.
Cool right? And when we were like doing the worksheet, she told us to label it by drawing the line from the cell wall to the outside and not from the outside to the root hair cell, because the line may not touch the cell wall due to the obstruction of our hand. Very trival right?
Yeah and she spent the rest of the lesson going through the so-called mock exam. It was like 2 pages btw and it only covers 1 chapter - Diffusion & Osmosis.
Then today was on Human Digestion. So she didn't do many chapters. By the way she gave us this 'mock exam' again, which is around the same as yesterday's one. She was like going through other stuffs of the biology which is not in the worksheet.. and she was like telling us this: "The bile emulsifies large drops into smaller drops, the oil." Very nice English used. Her favourite 2 phrases are.. "cambridge standard" (she actually mentioned it on Tuesday and said, "Yeah, Cambridge standard again") and when someone asks her a question, she would ask "Have I answered your question?".
Had a chemistry class test yesterday. It was not too difficult, just that it was a bit tricky. Because it was taken after the last lesson (and Ms Yeo came late), Wayne tried to persuade her into changing the date but to no avail.
Oh next week would be "chicken-man" Mr Ng, teaching us Physics.
Had a "short" comm meeting on Tuesday and it lasted for nearly an hr when it was supposed to be 15 minutes. Well it's about having the end-of-yr camp or not. Well I should not disclose the information though. Going to have another "short" meeting tomorrow.
Stayed back to finish up on our D&T on Wednesday, and also on Thursday (makes no difference actually, the last lesson on Thur was D&T). Peng Ho went to screw up everything. Yesterday he painted the vehicle brown, trying to make it look like copper, but in the end, it looked like rusted metal. Or maybe it was worse, just didn't want to use vulgarities here. In the end, the wheels can't move, so we had to drill on the holes again and tried to undo Peng Ho's destruction. Today we also repainted it until it looks like as if it's being camouflage but it was very ugly. Also, we had to change the "cannon" because it couldn't work at all. Took a few quick snaps of the vehicle (brought my digicam to school) then had to put the vehicle into our school locker - Mr Chan didn't allow us to use the D&T one.
Oh yeah, just now Peng Ho called me and told me that he wanted to paint it using spray-paint. He told me Junzhe wanted it black while he wanted it red. So I said black as well since red 1) won't make it look copper-ish; and 2) black would make it look more cool (as compared to red). Black would make it look like charcoal anyway.
Just had a 60-minute Chinese test today. 2 comprehensions and 10 han4 zi4. Fell asleep (as in really fell asleep) for the last 10 minutes. Too sleepy already. I think I can only get like 40/55 lah.
Oh. Something happened last night.
Went to sleep at around 12. Was surprisingly sleepy. Woke up suddenly and saw my handphone clock as 4am and alarm clock as 1am. I was very sure that I wasn't dreaming because I could feel myself getting up and setting back my alarm clock, thinking that my handphone clock should be correct since it is electronic. Felt very energetic. So I tried to go back to sleep. Woke up after my alarm clock rang. Then checked my handphone clock (it was supposed to ring as well) and realised that the time has reversed to 1am!! I had better check the clock outside my room. Found out that is was 2am in the morning and so, I set both clocks to 2am, and went back to sleep.
I am very sure that I wasn't dreaming. Very very sure. When I went to school this morning, I checked my handphone clock: it was correct, maybe 1 or 2 minutes off. The date? 23/09/05. One day faster. Maybe it was because when I set the time, the date somehow changed. But it isn't possible as I did not change the time to let's say 11.59pm. If I did, then the date will change as it strikes past midnight. I have no idea what actually happened.
Oh by the way, before the "time incident", when I was asleep, I felt myself being hugged by someone. No it wasn't the comfort kind of hug, it was kind of frightening. I tried to move myself but I was kind of stuck on my bed. I could only move my fingers a little and my eyelids [there was actually no one in my room], but I can't move my arms, legs, whole body, etc.
I think I better go and sleep before midnight. No lah. Feeling kind of sleepy now. Almost couldn't wake up this morning. Haha.. Bye.
*SPA: Science Practical Assessment. Ms Leow actually pronounced it as "spa". It constitutes 10% of the SA2 paper (30% bio, 30% phy and 30% chem), and the paper is 80% of SA2 alone (with 10% being the class test taken yesterday and 10% being homework marks).
